We're delighted to announce that the annual Theatre and Performance Research Association (TaPRA) conference will be hosted by Theatre and Performance Studies at Warwick between 27 and 29 August 2025. The conference will mark both the 20th birthday of TaPRA and the 50th anniversary of Theatre and Performance Studies at Warwick. Our conference keynotes, plenary panels, artistic activity, conference dinner and programmed events will speak to the themes of milestones and markers, focussing on celebrations, festivities, spectacle and joy. We'll look forward to welcoming you to Warwick next year!

Shoot Festival in partnership with Coventry City of Culture Trust and Belgrade Theatre present:

This our rapid response to the current crisis - to find, support and celebrate independent artists in Coventry and Warwickshire.

We are on the lookout for local makers to respond to the theme 'imagine' and create a short performance or piece of visual/digital art which will be platformed online on Wednesday 15th April.

We are offering approximately 10 micro-commissions of £200 to artists who consider themselves 'early career'.

We use this term quite broadly but please note that this opportunity is aimed at supporting independent makers. Artists must be aged 18 + and based in a CV postcode.

This opportunity is suitable for live performance artists (theatre makers, musicians, poets, dancers) as well as visual and digital artists.

But be quick, applications close on Monday 6th April at 10am.
