Most students know how to prepare for a test or an essay, and are reasonably proficient at doing so, but what happens when they are assessed in other ways? How might it add to the cognitive load of assessment and what can practitioners do to mitigate this? This session will examine a variety of alternative methods of summative assessment and explore the ways in which we we might prepare our students for them.
