HEA Fellowship

HEA Fellowship offers valuable professional recognition, enhancing your teaching practice and academic profile. Whether you are just setting out or leading learning and teaching at strategic level, we offer a pathway to Fellowship. Your professional experience and current responsibilities will determine the appropriate pathway for you.

APP PGR

The Academic and Professional Pathway for Postgraduates Who Teach is a part-time programme. It encompasses first steps into teacher education, exploring key principles and ideas. It offers participants the chance to become an Associate Fellow of the HEA and the opportunity to expand and enhance teaching skills and understanding by working closely postgraduates from across the university.

APP TE

The Academic and Professional Pathway for Teaching Excellence is a part-time, practice-based programme, successful completion of which awards Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. The programme considers key educational theories, and draws upon the evidence-base provided by recent scholarship and educational research to create an understanding of teaching excellence within your discipline.

Inclusive Pedagogies

The Inclusive Pedagogies provision offers three services for staff and student/staff collectives:

1. Inclusive Education Programme: A series of workshops on inclusion, decolonisation, anti-racism, neurodiversity, working with students as partners, etc.

2. Inclusive Voices Forum: An online platform for staff and students to discuss issues related to inclusion.

3: Inclusive Support: We offer consultations and bespoke resources and workshops for members of staff.

PGA CDHE

The Postgraduate Award in Curriculum Development in Higher Education (PGA CDHE) is a blended-learning 30-credit level 7 course open to Warwick teaching staff with curriculum design responsibilities.

Its main aim is to offer staff opportunities to support student success through development of expertise in curriculum design, a crucial and complex social practice operating within and beyond dynamic higher education contexts.

APP EXP 

The Academic and Professional Pathway for Experienced Staff is a continuing professional development programme which has been accredited by the Higher Education Academy to confer the status of Associate Fellow, Fellow, Senior Fellow and Principal Fellow. This pathway supports experienced staff in their engagement with the UK Professional Standards Framework and helps them to evidence their engagement through either the Dialogic Route or the Written Route.
