Enhancing the Student Experience
Why it matters and what to do about it
Dr Justin Greaves will be sharing his experience as Director of Student Experience and Progression (DSEP) in PAIS, a distinctive role that acts as a bridge between academic and administrative provision. His remit covers all stages of the undergraduate student cycle and he will cover essential topics such as:
- Enhancing the student experience - skills, internships and employability
- Improving students' understanding and perceptions of feedback
- Effective strategies to promote student recruitment and convert offers into accepts, focusing on his role on Open Days
- Widening Participation in the context of University Strategy
- Building on the work of the personal tutor system
- Working with colleagues to improve student satisfaction
Colleagues with similar roles in other departments will participate in Q&A panel. The session will be of interest to a wide range of academic and administrative colleagues who work on student experience/teaching and learning related issues.
