CIM Partners with the United Nations on Digital Rights and Health

The Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies (CIM) has formal partnerships with the World Health OrganizationLink opens in a new window (WHO) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)Link opens in a new window to advance human rights, gender equality, and inclusion in the governance of artificial intelligence and digital health.

Through these collaborations, Warwick is working with WHO and UNDP on research and education, convening diverse international researchers, officials, civil society, and youth leaders to explore good practices, evidence, and experiences.

The partnerships build on CIM’s interdisciplinary expertise in anthropology, law, computer science, public health, and advocacy, in partnership with academics in Warwick Law School and the Warwick Centre for Global Health, among others.

Since 2024, Warwick has contributed expert advice to WHO through membership in the Global Initiative on Digital Health, the WHO Expert Group on Ethics and Governance of AI for Health, and the WHO Reference Group on a Human Rights-Based Approach to Health. CIM has also contributed expertise to UNDP's Digital Health for Development Hub. The partnerships build on collaboration with the Digital Health and Rights Project, hosted by CIM during 2023-26.
