Will Davies wins Bernard Crick Prize
Will Davies, Assistant Professor at CIM, has been awarded the Bernard Crick Prize, for best article in Political Quarterly in 2012. The award was made at the Orwell Prize award ceremony in Westminster on Wednesday 15th May. Davies's winning article, The Emerging Neocommunitarianism, seeks to understand the emerging modes of governance that have emerged in the wake of the financial crisis, which act upon the mind and upon social relationships, in order to preserve forms of 'rational' economic conduct. Political Quarterly aims to publish articles which interrogate politics and policy in a rigorous intellectual fashion, without use of academic jargon. The Bernard Crick prize is given to the article which the editors believe comes closest to achieving this goal.
