Workshop at the World Health Organization: Gender and rights in digital health strategies

The World Health Organization (WHO) must support countries to address human rights, gender equality and inclusion for all in national digital health strategies, according to CIM staff and youth community leaders with the Digital Health and Rights Project. Staff and members of the project's youth advisory groups from Colombia, Ghana, Kenya and Vietnam held a joint workshop at WHO's Geneva headquarters to discuss findings from a review of 20 countries' national strategies, and share recommendations. WHO has committed to addressing gaps through new normative guidance and collaborative discussions at both global and national levels. The findings will be published in a report and webinar in November.
