Carla Washbourne to Chair UN-Habitat Global Urban Observatory Network (GUO-Net) Steering Committee

Carla Washbourne, Reader at CIM, has been re-appointed to chair the 2025-27 Steering Committee of UN-Habitat's Global Urban Observatory Network (GUO-Net).

GUO-Net is a worldwide information and capacity-building network of local, national and regional urban observatories convened by UN-Habitat. It works with urban observatories, and other organisations involved in the production and use of urban knowledge and data, to better understand contemporary urban challenges and provide support to local, national and international decision-makers.

GUO-Net is governed by a Steering Committee of members representing the interests of urban observatories around the world. The Steering Committee provides overall guidance and short and long-term vision on all activities of GUO-Net including: strategic direction, network sustainability, network building and development, and events and activities.
