Esha Sadia Nasir (Research Software Engineer)

Profile

As a Research Software Engineer at CIM, I am dedicated to integrating technology into both teaching and research initiatives. I also ensure the smooth operation of our infrastructure while providing technical support for various research projects.

Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Warwick, specializing in Multiplex Immunofluorescence image processing and analysis. My research interests span across Computer Vision, Medical Image Analysis, Computational Pathology, Data Analytics, Deep Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.

Previously, as an Operations Support Consultant at Teradata, I was responsible for managing data warehouse operations, focusing on task supervision, job scheduling, workflow maintenance, and error management. I optimized physical design for enhanced performance, proposed system improvements, and executed critical incident and change management actions. Additionally, I coordinated workload releases, led client service reviews, and contributed to the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment, ensuring the highest service standards.

Teaching

I support and run labs in Data Science Across Disciplines: Principles, Practice and Critique (IM939) and seminars in Introduction to Contemporary AI: Techniques & Critiques (IM9531). I provide technical supervision for the dissertation (IM906).
