Subject: Young Researchers in Mathematics conference funding

Dear Martine
Peter Rowlett has said that he has agreed to provide you with £500 funding for your Young Researchers in Mathematics conference.
Could you please let me have a contact person I can send a purchase order to in order for an invoice to be raised or should I just address it to you? If so please give me either your postal address or one for finance.
Best wishes
Janet

Hi Janet,
We have agreed to provide £500 funding to a conference. Dagmar said to let you have everything I know about this.
Young Researchers in Mathematics 2011
14th-16th April 2011 at the University of Warwick
http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/ sci/maths/postgrad/events/ yrm2011/

We have agreed to provide the following:
A leaflet for the conference pack (I will sort this nearer the time)
A stall at the conference (which I will run)
MSOR Network and National HE STEM Programme logos for conference publicity
2 x 45 minute seminars - 'Innovation in mathematics HE teaching & learning' & 'Technology in mathematics HE teaching & learning' (which I will deliver)

My contact is Martine Barons m.barons@warwick.ac.uk. She can invoice for the money. I have told her to expect you to get in touch about invoicing.

I have registered as a participant and requested accommodation.

If there is anything else you need to know, let me know.

I have sent Martine print and web quality copies of the HE STEM logo and a web quality copy of the MSOR Network logo but can you send her and me a print quality copy of the MSOR Network logo because I don’t have one? Thank you.

Thank you,
Peter.

Subject: RE: sponsorship for the YRM

Dear Peter,
that's wonderful, many many thanks.
We were just talking about your workshops today wrt persuading EPSRC to fund the conference. I think it lends weight to such a request.
The other sponsors have asked for an invoice and committed to send their leaflets / brochures nearer to the conference date. Is that what you would like?
Best wishes, Martine

Subject: sponsorship for the YRM

Hi Martine,
We spoke last year about sponsorship for the YRM. Sorry for my slow reply but we had a big event in January that distracted a lot of time after the Christmas break.
I have discussed this with colleagues at the MSOR Network. I made the following proposal that was agreeable, that my project support the YRM as follows:
In exchange for a leaflet in the delegate pack, a stall at the conference and recognition of the "Maths, Stats and OR Network" and "the National HE STEM Programme" as sponsors (logos can be provided), the Mathematical Sciences HE Curriculum Innovation Project will provide £500 funding to the YRM conference.
We have previously agreed I will give two 45 minute talks, either on seperate evenings (preferred) or concurrently, one on 'Innovation in mathematics HE teaching & learning' and the other on 'Technology in mathematics HE teaching & learning'.
I have separately booked to pay as a delegate for my attendance and accommodation.
Is that agreeable to you?
Regards,
Peter.

let me know what to put in the blanks.
Good to chat today,
