This credit-bearing module invites you to explore the deeper questions behind entrepreneurship. Through an interdisciplinary lens, you’ll examine what it means to be enterprising, across sectors, cultures, and ideas, and develop the mindset to lead with purpose.
Whatever your academic discipline, this is your opportunity to reflect critically, think creatively, and engage with real-world challenges in meaningful ways.
Who is it for?
Open to all 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year undergraduate students at Warwick (Home Department approval required).
What you'll gain?
By the end of this module, you’ll be able to:
- Describe different disciplinary approaches to entrepreneurship
- Appraise different perspectives on specific entrepreneurship topics
- Make connections between your discipline and this module and formulate original research questions
- Articulate coherent, informed and justified positions regarding the role of entrepreneurship

How this module is structured
This module invites you to different disciplinary perspectives on a range of entrepreneurship topics, both from an academic and practitioner perspective. You’ll examine the ideas, values, and assumptions that shape the entrepreneurial journey — through discussion, debate, and personal reflection.
The module curates a range of expertise from the fields of Psychology, Business Education, Information Systems, Cultural Policy, and more. Each session is designed to take you on a journey of reflection and personal and academic growth.
Topics include:
- The role of motivation and passion in entrepreneurship
- Creative thinking
- Failure in entrepreneurship
- Social and ethical entrepreneurship
- Digital entrepreneurship
- Intrapreneurship
This credit-bearing module is delivered in partnership with the Institute for Advanced Teaching and Learning (IATL) and co-led by Warwick Enterprise’s Associate Director Simon Finley, supporting enterprising and entrepreneurial students and graduates across the University of Warwick to develop the skills, mindset and confidence to lead with purpose.
