April eBulletin March was a busy month for the Subject Centre. The 12th Annual Conference on Teaching and Learning in History was very successful. A conference report will be issued shortly showcasing the quality of the current scholarship of teaching and learning in History. Two guides in the Historical Insights series were published. A Focus on Research (in conjunction with the IHR): Quantitative Skills for Historians by Mark Freeman and a Focus on Teaching: Medieval Castles by Robert Liddiard. Both are available in hard copy or to download.
2010 marks ten years of the Subject Centre network. Along with many in HE we are seeking to demonstrate the ‘impact’ of our work. A short booklet has been produced providing evidence of impact and detailing success stories from across the network. We are collecting further examples, so please contact us if the Subject Centre has made a difference to you or to your Department.
