June eBulletin The National Student Survey is swiftly becoming a key measure of teaching quality in Higher Education. Its findings feed into university league tables and feature on websites aimed at informing student choice. Yet there is little analysis based on specific disciplines. Our new report by Mark Carrigan seeks to offer a comparative perspective on the performance of History as a subject throughout the UK. This month also sees the publication of the report on our 12th annual conference providing an update on state of the art teaching and scholarship. We would like to ensure that next year’s conference takes place at the best possible time for delegates, so please take a minute to fill in our survey (details below). - Dr Sarah Richardson, History Subject Director News
