Women in Chemistry Network
Our Vision
The Women in Chemistry Network aims to create an inclusive, supportive community for women across the Department of Chemistry, including academic staff, postdoctoral researchers, professional services staff, technical colleagues and postgraduate researchers.
Our vision is to foster a connected network where women at all career stages can build meaningful professional relationships, share experiences, and support one another's personal and professional development. We seek to create a welcoming environment in which members feel valued, heard and inspired to achieve their goals. The network provides a space to discuss common challenges, exchange ideas and celebrate successes, while promoting a strong sense of belonging within the department.
Mentoring Network
Our Mentoring Network is a cross-chemistry programme connecting female academic, postdoctoral and professional-services colleagues to share experience, explore career possibilities and build meaningful connections and strong, lasting mentoring networks.
Find Your Own Mentor
Participants are supported to identify and approach people who can help with a particular development goal.
Group Mentoring
A small group of participants meets regularly with an experienced colleague or rotating panel of mentors.
Discussion Circles
Small, facilitated groups where participants can discuss common challenges and opportunities.
