Become a Chemistry Blogger/Vlogger!

We’re looking for a Student Blogger to represent the Department of Chemistry!

Our Student Blogs and Vlogs are an important source of information for our prospective students, as they give an idea of what life at Warwick is like from a current student’s perspective. Our bloggers blog/vlog about topics such as their course modules, their accommodation, their favourite places to visit on- and off-campus, and anything else related to university life!

Our bloggers and their blogs/vlogs are publicised in various ways throughout Warwick, including on OurWarwick (our social platform for offer holders), in emails out to prospective students, departmental course brochures, the website and on social media, so it’s a great way to get your content out there and read by others.

Bloggers need to write two blog posts or produce one vlog per month, and you will be paid c. £27 per month. You will also have access to OurWarwick, where you may receive comments from prospective students, and so you need to be confident and comfortable responding to queries from these prospective students on behalf of Warwick. You will also have the opportunity to create social media content for the University, such as Instagram takeovers or helping with photoshoots, although these are optional opportunities. You need to be committed, organised, creative and above all, want to share what it is you love about being a student at Warwick with the world! You will receive ongoing support from your department and the central University Marketing team, and be expected to attend a small number of training sessions a year.

If you’re interested, please contact Adam Alcock (A.Alcock@warwick.ac.uk) and outline why you would like to be a Student Blogger, indicate any relevant experience and include a sample blog/vlog. We will then review the submissions and contact you to let you know if you have been successful.
