Title:

"Advancing insights into development of sustainable energy from biomass using Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry"

Description:

As global energy demand continues to grow and environmental pollution problems become increasingly serious, fuel from biomass, as a sustainable energy source, has attracted attention due to its wide range of sources. Identifying the most efficient methods of biofuel production requires the characterization of biofuels which is an important part of biofuel production development. Due to the complexity of materials used in biofuel production, resulting in complex mixtures, this project utilizes Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometer (FTICR MS) with ultra-high resolution and mass accuracy to explore the molecular compositions of the biofuel.
