Gibson Group: Douglas Soutar
Biography
Douglas was born in 1996 and grew up in south-east London, going to school at Trinity School Belvedere, where he studied Chemistry, Physics and Maths at A-Level.
He studied Chemistry at the University of Warwick from 2015 to 2019, followed by an MSc in Polymer Chemistry. He worked at Warwick in BonLab as a research assistant in 2020-2021, on a project developing alkyd-based materials.
He is now undertaking an ERC funded PhD project with Gibson Group on cryopreservation of biologics.
Other Interests
Douglas enjoys some casual field hockey, cooking a good meal, and playing music.
