Facilities & Instruments

The Jenner Lab is based in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Warwick and benefits from access to excellent research facilities that support work at the interface of Chemistry and Biology.

The group is housed within the Chemical Biology Research Facility (CBRF), a purpose-built laboratory and office complex that provides an integrated environment for chemical and biological research. The facility includes fully equipped chemistry and biology laboratories, specialised containment laboratories for BHSL 1 and 2 microorganisms, dedicated instrument laboratories, a protein crystallography laboratory, a dark room, and office space for a large research community.

The group has access to a wide range of modern instrumentation to support research at the Chemistry-Biology interface. Facilities include high-field NMR spectrometers, high-resolution LC-MS and GC-MS systems, protein crystallisation screening / optimisation, and analytical / preparative HPLC systems. The laboratory is also equipped with incubators and fermenters, centrifuges, autoclaves, a cell disruptor, and FPLC systems for protein purification. The group also has a dedicated Waters SELECT Series Cyclic Ion Mobility MS system used for intact / native protein analyses.
