Background

Dr Saeed Jahdi has recieved the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Power Engineering from University of Science and Technology in August 2010, the Masters Degree (with Distinction) in Power Systems in April 2012 from City University London while his MSc thesis advisor were Prof. L.L. Lai (Fellow IEEE, Fellow IET) and the degree of PhD in Power Electronics from University of Warwick in 2015 while his PhD advisors were Dr Olayiwola Alatise, Prof Phil Mawby and Prof Li Ran. His PhD scholarship was funded by an EPSRC research grant as a project on development of grid-connected voltage-sourced converters (VSCs) using the new generation of power devices and resulted in 13 direct IEEE pepers from the thesis, inlcuding 6 first-author IEEE transations. Dr Jahdi's current reserach interests are Power Electronics Converters and Devices for Next Generation Power Systems.
