Dr. Hatef Sadeghi, Group Leader

Dr. Sadeghi is an Assistant Professor in Multiscale Modelling, UKRI Future Leaders Fellow and Head of Device Modelling Group in the School of Engineering at the University of Warwick. He completed his PhD in Physics - Nanoelectronics in 2016 at Lancaster University. He is a recipient of two prestigious fellowships, the Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship in June 2017 and the UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship (the First cohort) in Feb 2019. His main research area is theoretical nanoscale electronics and computational materials discovery and collaborates at the interface between Physics, Chemistry and Electronic Engineering. Hatef has developed new concepts and methodologies in the theory of nanoscale electronics including innovative strategies for demonstrating, controlling and exploiting quantum interference for applications in thermoelectricity, switching, sensing and optoelectronics. He has published more than 120 peer-reviewed papers several of which are in Nature, Nature Materials, Nature Nanotechnology, Nano Letters, PNAS, JACS, Nature Communications, ACSNano, Advanced Functional Materials, Science Advances, Angewandte, etc. He is Topic Editor of Nanomaterials and has co-created the next generation quantum transport code "GOLLUM" and leads its development and distribution.
