Group Seminars
All students and postdocs are expected to give talks, because the ability to present your work is a key requirement of a scientific researcher. In each seminar, a person will present 20-minutes talk, followed by upto a 40 min discussion and Q&A.
Each talk should include an introduction, a literature review, a methodology, results and discussion, conclusions, acknowledgement and a discussion about the next stage planned for on-going projects (see the template slides in the right panel). If you did not have new results to discuss, you can review recent papers and discuss ideas which may be of common interest.
Speakers: there is a regular rota below. If you really can't be present on a day when you are scheduled to present, it is your responsibility to agree a swap well ahead of time with someone else and inform the seminar coordinator. After your seminar, please send a PDF copy of your slides to the seminar coordinator to upload it here for future reference.

If you are going to present your work in a conference, seminar, workshop, meeting with collaborators, or any other meetings, it is recommended that you first present your work to group seminars. This 'mock' presentation will help you to improve your presentation and performance in answering questions.
