Emily Braxton
Currently I am undertaking the third year of my PhD as part the Molecular Analytical Science Centre for Doctoral Training Scheme after completing the MSc programme.
My PhD project is titled "Applications of Electrochemistry in Pharmaceutical Research and Development". This project will be carried out in the Warwick Electrochemistry and Interfaces Group under the supervisor of Prof. Julie Macpherson in collaboration with Pfizer and AstraZeneca.
Through the duration of my PhD, my main focus is to understand the mechanism for hydroxyl radical generation on boron doped diamond coupled to electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy. This includes: the potential at which hydroxyl radicals are generated, pH dependence and electrode material dependence.
