Sofia Goia

Final year PhD student, currently conducting a research project as part of Team StavrosLink opens in a new window, based in the Chemistry Department at The University of Warwick, under the supervision of Prof. Vasilios StavrosLink opens in a new window and Dr. Scott HabershonLink opens in a new window (The University of Warwick), Dr. Adam Burriss and Ben Robinson (Syngenta, Warfield, Bracknell, RG42 6EY). The research is focused on Redox-Active molecules, with a main aim in understanding their mechanisms of action through steady state and ultrafast spectroscopy, and building up a suitable model system covering their physical and chemical properties which will provide a basis for the study of novel compounds.
