This page lists some of the external courses and opportunities available to you as a postgraduate student. If you are interested in any of the courses, you should first discuss these with your supervisor. New courses and opportunities will be added as we learn about them.

SHORT COURSES

The LMS-EPSRC short instructional courses provide high quality training for postgraduate students in core areas of mathematics. The short courses are seen to be complementary to what is offered by the Taught Course Centres for PhD Students.

The Academy for PhD Training in Statistics is organised by the Department of Statistics and is a collaboration between major UK statistics research groups to organise courses for first-year PhD students in statistics and applied probability nationally.
