Aug 2017 Filip Rindler receives ERC grant
Dr Filip Rindler has received an ERC Starting Grant for the programme "Singularities and Compactness in Nonlinear PDEs".
The project aims to investigate the fine structure of singularities, such as oscillations and concentrations, which lie at the heart of some of the most intriguing problems in the theory of nonlinear PDEs. Rich sources of these phenomena can be found for instance in the equations of mathematical material science. We will employ recent strategies and tools that combine geometric measure theory with harmonic analysis.
This award will fund three postdocs and one PhD student.
