The Warwick Research In Nursing is based in the Division of Health Sciences, Warwick Medical School at the University of Warwick.
We do research about Understanding and Improving Care through the themes of:

- Patient Reported Outcomes
- Translating Knowledge into Practice

Warwick Research In Nursing Staff Research Interests are shown below:
Prof Kate Seers - research interests include pain and its management, evidence based health care and knowledge translation and complex interventions. Her research in these areas has used quantitative and qualitative systematic reviews, randomised controlled trials, qualitative methodologies and often use mixed methods.
Prof Sophie Staniszewska - leads the Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) and Patient Experiences Programme and led a systematic review of the impact of patient and public involvement on health and social care research.
Prof Kirstie Haywood - research interests embrace the range of practical, methodological and theoretical challenges relating to the development, application and evaluation of patient reported outcomes (PRO) across a range of conditions and settings including: long-term conditions, recovery from episodes of ill-health or injury and using PRO-measures in routine practice and clinical trials. Her research in these areas has used quantitative and qualitative approaches.
Applications from potential PhD students wishing to work in these areas are welcome.
Dr Liz Tutton (“Honorary Research Fellow”)- Research interests include: clinical issues; exploring patient and staff experiences of care, recovery and treatments; and core concepts such as comfort, participation and hope.
