Yogal Prasad Ghimirey

I am a second-year graduate student in condensed matter physics, holding a joint position between the University of Warwick and I05 - Beamline at Diamond Light Source. My research focuses on investigating the electronic structure and interface physics of two-dimensional magnets (2DMs) using spatially resolved angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (micro-ARPES) and sample preparation through exfoliation techniques. By integrating 2DMs with metallic substrates such as gold (Au), I explore the interfacial electronic interactions that are crucial for understanding and realizing practical device integration of these quantum materials.
