Internship Programmes

WMG runs a number of Internship and Work Placement programmes for undergraduate students each year. Information about the different schemes can be found on this page. This includes information for staff and companies offering internships, as well as information for students applying.

Internship Programmes

WMG Summer Research Internships

The aim of this WMG undergraduate scheme is to identify and develop researchers of the future. The primary aim is to promote postgraduate doctoral study by allowing undergraduates to experience working in an multi-disciplinary applied research environment before they graduate. The internship will improve employability by developing key skills such as problem solving, team working and self discipline. WMG Summer Education Innovation Research Internships
The aim of the internship is to provide students with the opportunity to work alongside academic and teaching staff on projects aimed at improving the teaching and learning in WMG. Students may have an opportunity to gain an insight in to current pedagogical research themes. These might include areas such as technology enhanced learning, effective feedback, research-led teaching, widening participation, flexible learning, or video capture. Students from all faculties are encouraged to view the projects and apply, as we welcome interdisciplinarity. For further information, please visit our website or contact Celine Martin
WMG SME Internship Programme

Each summer our SME team offers a number of students and graduates the opportunity to work in a small and medium sized enterprise (SME) to support an innovative project in the business. Typical project themes are around new product development, automation, industry 4.0 or manufacturing. Each internship can last for 8, 12, or 52 weeks and will be based at the SME’s location. These opportunities are not exclusive to University of Warwick students and is therefore open to applicants from any other institution.
