We are excited to announce the launch of the DEAR Reading Group, a new initiative within the Doctoral Education and Academia Research Centre (DEAR) at Warwick!

The DEAR Reading Group provides a space for academics, doctoral students, and staff at the University of Warwick to explore key texts in relation to doctoral education, higher education, and academic careers. Our goal is to foster critical discussions, interdisciplinary exchange, and a sense of community among those engaged in research on academia.

The group meets monthly, with readings selected to align with current debates, emerging research, and members’ interests. Sessions are open to all, and we welcome suggestions for future readings from participants.
