Event marks the new Sister Centre Collaboration between DEAR, UK and CHEF, Denmark.

On Monday 24 November 2025, the DEAR Centre co-hosted its first event with CHEF (Centre for Higher Education FuturesLink opens in a new window) at Aarhus University in Denmark, following the new Sister Centre link between the two centres. The event was a talk presented by Dr Bing LuLink opens in a new window, an alumna of the DEAR Doctoral and Postdoctoral GroupLink opens in a new window, on her SRHE-funded project hosted by DEAR.

The talk, 'Migrant supervisors learn to supervise in a cross-culture contextLink opens in a new window, focused on ways in which supervisors who have trained in one national context and are now supervising in a different national context engage with supervisor training and more informal modes of development. A lively discussion ensued about the ways in which supervision plays out across borders in the contemporary globalised academic profession. Watch this space for further CHEF-DEAR events!
