📢 DEAR attends the EARLI SIG24 conference Aarhus Denmark August 2026
DEAR Centre members were in attendance at the recent EARLI Special Interest Group 24 (SIG24) Conference on Researcher Education and Careers at Aarhus University last week. The conference was held on the topic of (Post)Doctoral Pedagogies and Research Culture.
SIG 24 aspires to encourage, recognize and support innovative research-based practices that better prepare future researchers for their careers, and thus address priorities in graduate and postgraduate education and training. The biennial SIG 24 meeting is a collaborative space, combining workshops, writing retreats and time to build networks and partnerships.
The European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction (EARLI) is an international, scientific community with the primary goal to support an active research culture in the field of learning and instruction. One of the main goals of EARLI is to encourage communication between researchers through Special Interest Groups. The 26 SIG's support activities such as meetings, newsletters and publications and they give substance to the conference themes of the biennial EARLI conferences.
DEAR Centre Deputy Director James Burford and DEAR PhD student Nok Hang Hui both attended the conference and explored potential projects to contribute to.
