4:30-6:15 – Three Minute Thesis live final | 9 finalists | Guest talk from Dr Michael Scott

6:15 – Wine reception

All staff, students and guests are warmly invited to join us for this Showcase of Warwick’s postgraduate research. Please feel free to circulate this invitation. If possible, let us know you’re coming via the website.

About the 3MT® final…

An 80,000-word thesis would take 9 hours to present. Their time limit… 3 minutes!

Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is a globally recognised research communication competition for doctoral students. At Warwick’s first ever live final, 9 postgraduate researchers will compete for a £500 travel grant plus the chance to be put forward to the national 3MT® final. Come along to enjoy their entertaining, engaging presentations and vote for your favourite!

The event will be chaired by Professor Pam Thomas, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for People & Public Engagement, and will feature a guest talk from academic, author and broadcaster, Dr Michael Scott.

There are two finalists from the Centre for Education Studies: Hafiz Hanif and Eirini Veroni.
