Education Studies Research Conference 2021

The 8th Education Studies PGR Conference offers a dynamic environment for Postgraduate Research (PGR) students to showcase and discuss their research. The conference is open to research postgraduates at all stages of their programme, from a variety of disciplines, and from all universities, whose research connects with education in its broadest sense.

This year's conference theme is "Frontiers of Education and Activism". We invite you to consider how your research makes a difference - in theory, professional practice, methodology, and from other illuminating perspectives. There will be renowned keynote speakers, abstract presentations, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. This year, several academic researchers will be attending, offering feedback and taking part in the plenary panel.

This is an online event which will take place over two half-days (23rd & 24th April) and attendance is open to taught or research postgraduates as well as the broader academic community. For postgraduates who aim to present at the conference, abstracts should be submitted by 2nd April 2021. We would like to note that we are paying particular attention to equality and diversity issues at this conference, and we are using evidence-based guidance to produce an inclusive conference, within our means.

Keynote Speakers:

Dr Abdullah Sahin (University of Warwick)

Dr Khursheed Wadia (University of Warwick)

Dr Sarah Amsler (University of Nottingham)
