An Ordinary Theology of Methodist Worship

Methodist Worship the experience of the people:

Towards an Ordinary Theology of Methodist Worship

‘What makes Methodist worship Methodist?’ The identity of Methodism is at the heart of this enquiry. Methodist identity has traditionally been shaped by the voices of Presbyters, especially within official church documents, rather than by the voices of the Methodist people. This study takes seriously the theology that is voiced by Methodists in the pews, ‘ordinary Methodists’, and assesses the Methodist identities and theologies that emerge when those voices are heard.
