My area of research focuses on innovative approaches in science education and STEM education. My teaching and research experience started at the Department of Physics at Ryerson University Toronto, Canada from 2010-2017. I have been teaching first-year biology and physics classes at Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada.

I obtained my B.Sc Honours Bachelor of Science in Medical Physics from Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada, then received a Master of Science in Biomedical Physics from Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada, the master degree thesis was entitled “Ultrasound and microbubble enhancing chemotherapy and radiotherapy".

 Research Summary

Research topic:

Innovative Approaches to Science Education: Effects on Students’ Attitudes and Achievement in Science Lectures

My Doctoral research aims to analyze selected innovative teaching methods and the effectiveness of those methods while teaching science courses and to assess and examine the effect of student’s gender and the implementation of these selected teaching approaches on the attitudes and achievements of students toward science courses. I will focus on this research on two approaches Traditional learning (TL) as control and collaborative learning (CL) experimental condition while teaching the same science subject; To assess and examine the effect of student’s gender and the impact of these selected teaching approaches on the attitudes and achievements of students toward physics and biology courses and finding which teaching method is more suitable for male and female students with the different science subjects under the same educational settings. Both CL and TL will be applied to separate male and female classes to the same educational setting and subject.
