In September 2023, WAHEI project's Co-PI Dr Nidhi S. Sabharwal travelled to the UK to attend the "Addressing the Higher Education equity crisis - what needs to be done?" meeting at Oxford University. The international meeting was organised by WAHENLink opens in a new window, The Saville FoundationLink opens in a new window and the University of West LondonLink opens in a new window. Dr Sabharwal actively participated in discussions and contributed to informing the participants of evidence generated from the CPRHE/NIEPA large-scale national-level studies on challenges facing students from socially and economically disadvantaged groups in India. Dr. Sabharwal highlighted the policy significance of our Fair Chance Foundation-funded research project on Widening Access to Higher Education in India: Institutional Approaches.
