Deployment of wayward behaviour as a form of resistance
Event news - in a couple of weeks we have a session focussing on a particular aspect of waywardness in international academia; namely, the "Deployment of wayward behaviour as a form of resistance". 3rd December 2024 3-4pm at Warwick University.
This event is a crossover between the DEAR Centre and the final class of EQ923 which DEAR Centre Deputy Director Dr James Burford leads. The presentations are ones that Prof. Emily Henderson, S. Arokia Mary, Dr Ahmad Akkad and Fatima Alhaj Hasan will be giving at the upcoming Society for Research into Higher Education (SRHE) conference in December 2024 along with Dr Burford.

The titles of the talks are:

- 'Navigating complexities of higher education recovery: Displaced Syrian academics’ informal contribution to Syrian higher education – Dr Akkad
- 'The Road Less Travelled': Informal Conflict Management Practices in Syrian Higher Education Institutions – Fatima Alhaj Hasan
