Sally Spicer, Senior Teaching Fellow, Chartered Science Teacher and Primary PGCE Science Lead in CTE at The University of Warwick, addresses the importance of science education in primary schools at the NFU Annual Conference 2020.

Sally discusses the responsibility that teachers have to develop young children’s science capital and the impact on their future career choices. Some solutions to the challenges that primary teachers may be faced with, which can restrict the development and progress of young people, are introduced.
