Kirsty Weeks
Kirsty Weeks - Head of International Programmes /Associate Professor
Kirsty brings over 30 years of teaching experience, with the past 15 years dedicated to initial teacher education. She leads our International Programmes, supporting trainee teachers across more than 40 countries, both within university settings and in schools.
Prior to joining the University of Warwick, Kirsty held key advisory roles with Warwickshire Local Authority, including School Improvement Partner and Early Years and Literacy Consultant. Her in-school experience includes serving as an Early Years and Key Stage 1 moderator, school governor, and curriculum leader for both literacy and numeracy. She has taught across all primary age groups, from Nursery to Year 6.
Kirsty has also taught internationally, spending several years in Singapore and Madrid, enriching her global perspective on education.
She holds a degree in Mathematical Modelling, a Master’s in Education, and currently works as an External Examiner for the University of Brighton.
