Primary and Early Years Interview Learning Plan

This interview activity is designed to gauge your skills in reading aloud and engaging a group, as well as considering learning.

For this activity, you will choose a children's text and:

  • Introduce your text to the group (interviewer(s) and other candidates) explaining your rationale for your choice of text
  • Read a section of the text for 2-3 minutes as though you are reading to a class of children
  • Discuss a learning activity linked to your text, using the learning plan provided to support you.

For face-to-face interviews, there will be no visual projector/TV screen available so the presentation will be delivered orally. You may supply handouts to the audience - five copies will be sufficient.

If you are having an online interview, you are welcome to use a PowerPoint presentation.
