About the Event

This is the third session of the Warwick Law School Corporate Governance and Insolvency Masterclass series. In this session, Tim LeesLink opens in a new window will explore why companies facing financial difficulties will often choose to restructure their debts in a jurisdiction with which they have no prior connection, and the reasons that might or might not be regarded as welcome.

Postgraduate and research students are warmly invited to attend. The event will be followed by a drinks reception, offering a great opportunity for networking and discussion.

About the Speaker

Tim Lees is a Partner in the Restructuring and Insolvency team at Clifford ChanceLink opens in a new window based in London. He has advised on some of the highest profile and most complex cross-border restructurings in the world in recent years, including NMC Health, Bio City Development Company, and Codere. He has also published throughout his career on topics including directors’ duties, parallel restructuring proceedings, and pre-pack administrations.
