Soft Law and Global Health Problems New Book by Sharifah Sekalala
Dr Sharifah Sekalala has recently published her monograph on Soft Law and Global Health Problems: Lessons from Responses to HIV/AIDS, Malaria and Tuberculosis with Cambridge University Press. Considering the efficacy of so-called ‘soft law’ versus traditional ‘hard’ international law approaches to improving access to essential medicines for people suffering from HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis in developing countries, this book explores lawmaking on global health and analyses the viability of current global health financing trends within new and traditional organisations such as the United Nations, the World Health Organization, UNAIDS, UNITAID and the Global Fund.
