Contemporary Challenges in Global Economic Governance

Identifying the contemporary political challenges for global economic governance and critically analyzing how might they be resolved are key for understanding the global political economy of the twenty-first century. The contemporary era is associated with a series of economic and financial crises, the causes and consequences of which are beyond the scope of individual national governments to resolve on their own. This module examines how international organizations and other key transnational actors seek to govern critical transnational problems through global economic governance.
