Poetry and Philosophy Workshop

With the support of the Institute of Advanced Study and the Humanities Research Centre at Warwick, we are holding a one-day workshop on Poetry and Philosophy. We have in view a longer-term goal of forming a research and creative network that will bring together poets, philosophers and literary theorists and scholars. This workshop is a conversation-opener.

1.30-2.15 Jack McGowan and Karen Simecek (Worcester and Warwick): Affectivity in the Performance Poetry Space
2.15-3.00 Anna Christina Ribeiro (Texas Tech): (When) Is Poetry Fiction?
3.00-3.15 Break
3.15-3.45 David Constantine, poet, author, and translator
3.45-5.00 Reflection on the day and open discussion, chaired by Eileen John (Warwick)

The no. 11 bus stops very near Millburn House on Kirby Corner Road, and the closest parking lots to Millburn House are nos. 12 and 13 on the campus map (pay and display parking is £4.50 for the day).
