Stocker Reading Group
This term Emily Basset will be running a reading group on Michael Stocker’s Plural and Conflicting Values. The central theme of the book is that ethics extends beyond the guiding of action - touching on a number of issues around moral and value philosophy, including akrasia and the moral emotions. There is a single physical copy of the book available through Warwick Library, or it is available online.
The current plan is to run the sessions on Wednesdays from 11:00 - 12:00, in Weeks 2-5 and 7-10, covering roughly a chapter per week.
