Sometimes we need to encourage our mentees to think bigger picture or more holistically. Here are a few bigger picture/breakthrough questions that have worked some of our mentors/mentees.

It is vital to your mentoring relationship that you can give and receive feedback, in order for your mentoring relationship to develop. Recall the cultural discussions from induction and view the video in the link below and think about how cultural views can impact on feedback. As the relationship comes to an end either due to time or the mentee having achieved all of the desired/agreed outcomes then ensure that you hold a final meeting to close off the relationship. This helps to review what has been achieved and for you to celebrate any successes. As a guide we suggest that you consider the following when completing your relationship.
