Currently all three of the student printers in the PG IT Suite are broken/damaged. Please use the computers and printers in the WBS Teaching Centre. These have been checked and are both working correctly.

The two large printers in the PG IT Suite both showed errors on Thursday. These were immediately reported to Ricoh, who sent an engineer the same day. Unfortunately the engineer did not have the necessary parts and so had to leave without being able to fix them. Ricoh told us that the engineer would return on Friday. When the engineer did not arrive we contacted Ricoh and were told they were still not able to get the necessary parts.

This left the small, third printer as the only functioning printer in the PG IT Suite. This device was damaged late Saturday when a user appears to have snapped parts of the printer while attempting to clear a paper jam. An effort was made to repair the printer on Sunday with parts borrowed from staff printers but this was unsuccessful. The printers in the WBS Teaching Centre were checked again on Sunday at 14.00 and both work working fine.
