The terminology we use for Operational Excellence at WBS is as follows:

• Process Improvement:  The revision of a series of activities (the process) that results in the improved delivery of a particular business function or operation.
• Process Improvement Workshop:  The event at which a particular process is reviewed and improved.
• Continuous Improvement:  The ongoing development and refinement of a particular process. Continuous improvement is the overriding objective or goal; it is what takes over and is sustained *after* any Process Improvement Workshop.
