2025 Theme: How should we think about organisational change as if change mattered? A process and practice perspective.
In this Summer School we will critically discuss dominant understandings of organisational change modelled on motion (stage-based models) and, importantly, explore strong-process images of change in which change is viewed as becoming - is endemic and ongoing. Related questions of agency, temporality, and stability will also be explored. The management implications of strong-process images of organisational change will be discussed.
We are excited to welcome Julia Balogun, University of Liverpool, Robert Chia, University of Glasgow and Miriam Fuels, Copenhagen Business School, all of whom have made significant contributions towards a better understanding of organisational change.
