We offer a comprehensive and well-established range of Masters courses for specialist sub-disciplinary areas. You will study specialist business areas to an advanced level. Your time at WBS will allow you to extend your academic training with some participants going on to research their area of interest further and working towards a PhD.
MSc in Accounting and Finance was launched in September 2011.
Building on the success of our prestigious BSc in Accounting & Finance, we launched a long-awaited Masters in Accounting & Finance, in September 2011. The new Masters course, open to those with an excellent, relevant first degree, will complement the three existing Finance and Finance-related Masters courses at WBS.
Dr Shahed Imam, Associate Professor in the Accounting Group and Academic Director of the new course, explains the reasons for launching it, "Recent events have revealed the need for a new breed of financiers who think more critically and who are prepared to challenge theories. We have therefore designed a course which combines the traditional technical requirements for a career in accounting or finance whilst developing the critical thinking required of the next generation of finance professionals."
